Professional actual-play performers wanted for live shows in Orlando

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

The Misadventuring Party is creating professional actual-play content that brings hope-filled TTRPG stories to life through live performances and recorded campaigns. Based in Orlando, we're building toward live venue shows, convention appearances, and an ensemble of performers who understand that great actual-play is equal parts storytelling, character work, and improvisational chemistry.

Our worlds are wild, our characters often ridiculous, and our dice rarely merciful—but underneath the laughter is a real mission: to bring hope to the hopeless, to make meaning out of mayhem, and to remind each other (and our audience) that failure isn't the end of the story. It's just the fun part.

We've proven our production capabilities with Monster Disco, our Kids on Bikes actual-play series about teenage monster hunters in 1979. Now we're expanding our roster with performers who can bring energy, reliability, and professional commitment to the table—literally and figuratively.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We need performers who bring more than just dice-rolling skills. We're looking for:

  • Storytellers who can build compelling characters and lean into emotional beats

  • Improvisers who thrive in collaborative chaos and yes-and their way through the unexpected

  • Reliable professionals who understand that "show up or give 48-hour notice" isn't optional

  • System flexibility – primarily D&D 5e/2024, but also Kids on Bikes, and willingness to learn new systems

  • Orlando-based or willing to travel for in-person recording sessions and live performances

If you've got theater training, improv experience, voice acting chops, or streaming background—great. If you don't but you're a strong player who shows up consistently—also great. What matters most is chemistry, commitment, and understanding that we're building something professional.

COMMITMENT EXPECTATIONS

This is a professional operation. That means:

Consistent Sunday availability starting mid-November (brunch-time recordings, exact schedule confirmed after casting)
Respond to scheduling texts within 24 hours – we coordinate via phone/text, not Discord
Attend scheduled sessions or provide 48-hour cancellation notice
Participate in session zero and any campaign prep as needed
Typical commitment: 2-3 sessions per month, 3-4 hours per session

If life happens and you need to miss a session, we get it. But chronic flaking or ghosting = immediate removal from the roster. We're building toward paid performances and venue partnerships. That requires people who treat this like the professional gig it's becoming.
